Everyone's pain tolerance is different and we understand.  We use fillers that have lidocaine included but some clients need a bit more to tolerate the procedure. That's why we offer different options to make your visit as comfortable as possible. If you would like additonal numbing please advise us when scheduling your appointment and we are happy to accomodate you.

 

Some health conditions or allergies may prevent the usage of Lidocaine, Benzocaine or Tetracaine.

 

Your doctor will discuss any possible side effects with you.

E-CoolSense

  • E-CoolSense is a local anesthetic device, the product of extensive R&D resulting in a revolutionary, though simple, hand-held device that anesthetizes the site of injections by a Cryo system with no chemicals and no after effects. It numbs the site of injection within 3-5 seconds and is applied to the area before each injection.

Pain Ease Topical Spray

  • Gebauer’s Pain Ease is an instant topical anesthetic skin refrigerant approved to temporarily control pain associated with needle procedures and minor surgical procedures. This spray is applied with a cotton ball before each injection and the numbing effect is instant.

Topical Lidocaine* 

  • LIDOCAINE (LYE doe kane) is an anesthetic. This medicine is for use on the skin it causes loss of feeling in the skin and surrounding tissues. It is used to prevent and to treat pain from some procedures. This medicine is also used to treat minor burns, scrapes and insect bites. The onset of topical lidocaine is 10-30 minutes and can last up to 60 minutes.

BLT Numbing Cream*

  • Benzocaine, Lidocaine, Tetracaine (BLT) is a combination of topical anesthetics used for topical anesthesia and mild pain control, including use during procedures such as endoscopy, surgery, and dental procedures. It can be used for gag reflex suppression as well. The onset of numbing is from 1-15 minutes and lasts 30-60 minutes.

Outer Dental Block** 

  • Using a very small needle, injections of Lidocaine is a local anesthetic (numbing medication) that is used to numb an area of your body to help reduce pain or discomfort caused by more invasive needle punctures. Lidocaine starts working within 90 seconds and the effects last from 20-60 minutes but may vary depending on dosage. Pain ease or E-CoolSense can be used in conjuction with the Dental Block.
